- Writers don't write books, worrying the entire time, how the critiques will think of it
Athletes, artists, performers, etc, don't think about the result or have the outcome in the back of their heads the entire time
can one be adopted by a nation? then there could be like 1501 (or likely more) (like how athletes get adopted by countries for the olympics?) - just a random thought as the UK goes a bit, you know, funny...

It took to me too long to realize that people will always see me through their own lens. And sure I can sometimes try to clean their lens a bit but nevertheless they will be having some lens there no matter what.
That is something I cannot control and should not try to control.
It took me way too long to understand that my own lens needs to be cleaned.
What the heck are you babbling about?
Well simply just the fact that I let others' reflections of me to affect how I saw myself too. I tried to change to meet the demands of their lens, to get better and be better, which sometimes led too far away from my own natural way of being. I have heard that I was "too" sensitive, "too" caring, "too" kind, smiling "too" much, to fit in the professional sports world.
F that. In sports, the point is to get the best out of 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭. To get the best out of 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭. That won't happen if we need to suppress our personalities to something that aren't natural to us. You and me are different, we have different qualities, different kinds of potential.
So just saying now when we are slowly starting to get back to work and sports that hey you - clean your lens if you don't see your unique potential. Or DM me and let me give you some cleaning tools 😉.
Be clearer than ever this season on what you are and so many things become easier like receiving feedback, learning from mistakes and facing adversities. Growth and development woop woop!
It would be cool to celebrate the best advices or tips we have gotten about being unique below so would love you to share what has been the best advice you have gotten from your coach or someone you look up to about reaching your potential?

Coaching online vs in presenza 🤓🏃♂
Online vs in person coaching 🤓🏃♂
Many people ask me if coaching online is the same that coaching on the field. Of course, it is not the same, but online coaching could be really helpful for athletes. 💥
The benefit of online coaching is that athletes are responsible for their own training. 👨🏻🏫
Without a coach who is waiting for them on the track, athletes need to be mental tougher to go out for his training session. 💪🏼
Furthermore, with online coaching athletes can manage their daily routine as they prefer without the stress to be on time at the training session. 🔥
A good coach should combine both and be always there for his athletes! As for me personally, it matters only that they achieve their personal goals. 🔥🙌🏻 #CoachFilipas

"Pro Athletes Don't Aim for Records"
One of the best ways to take yourself OUT of the state of 'flow', is to focus on the outcome/results (what you DON'T want to do)
- You can't find the zone if you're pressuring yourself to set a record as an athlete

I always joke that people like traveling with me because I always have snacks, but maybe it’s true...🤷🏼♀️ Don’t leave the house without snacks!
As an athlete, you should always have a few snacks in your bag/backpack/car, especially if you’re always on the go! .
Don’t rely on gas stations and vending machines 💸 ...and stopping at fast food or smoothie stops a few times a week isn’t always the best choice, either.
What’s in your bag? 🎒

Protein is a macronutrient that is essential to building muscle mass. It is commonly found in animal products, though it’s also present in other sources, such as nuts and legumes. 🍗
Each gram of protein contains 4 calories and it makes up about 15 percent of a person’s body weight. Significant figure right team? ESSENTIAL.
A safe level of protein ranges from 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight up to 2-2.2 grams of protein per kilogram for very active athletes. Most people truly need to be eating about 1 to 1.2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight at a MINIMUM.
For me that equates to 70-80g, whereas every day I aim for closer to 150g! That’s just me. There’s a lot of reasons why but if you’re curious as to why this number please get in touch. 💡
Most people (but dependant on goals also) need 20 to 30 grams of protein per meal but unfortunately there are some people who dispute that protein in higher doses is toxic to the body.
This is simply not the case unless you have present underlying health factors e.g. kidney function problems.
Any questions just ask!

Had an interesting case come in recently. Typical teen athlete archetype. Gifted ⚽️ player, excellent linear acceleration, etc. Needs to get a little more "shifty" and absorb physicality now that he'll be playing a couple levels higher this upcoming season.
Well for starters, I'm not liking what I'm seeing at the ankles while walking. Lots of point of contact instability, and you can already begin to see the overdevelopment of the medial malleolus on the right side (clip 1) Sure enough, once on the board and we start testing eversion, there are obvious restrictions (clip 2). These are generally tied in to underactive posterior tibialis, so we can usually clean that up.
Once we've got all the "info" we can work on organizing the program. Knowing he's going to need a large increase in rate of force development, core bracing is critical, so some plank sequences will do the trick for static motor control (clip 3). Cross dominant athletes always get a good dose of single leg work in my programming to address any deficiencies that could become problematic down the road (clips 4 & 5)
We'll check in again and see how things are going in a few weeks. In the meantime, if you're an in season or out of season athlete, don't waste time with your training! Click on the link in our bio and get scheduled for an initial analysis session today! .

I’m a Sports Injury Therapist for professional athletes
If you had to pinpoint exactly where your hip joint is would you know?
I cannot tell you how many sports healthcare professionals and athletes have NO IDEA!
Here is a hint- it is closer to the middle of your body then you think and typical lower down then you think.
The cool thing is, that it is very close to the same level in space as your sits bones, so if you cue movement from there you tend to get pretty good hip articulation too.
And wonderful enough, wide sits bones allows more space for the hip to flex and rotation in the joint too!
So use this quick tutorial to find the joint and then let go of that right ass and widen your sits bones for the best hip hinging of your life! 😂
Want to learn more about how to move your body? Check out the link in my bio- Move with Me. Or submit a video to improve your movement quality. Movement quality assessments are available for $22 until Friday May 29th at 6pm!
