I’ve noticed myself getting a little repetitive in my ideation/ sketching. So I came up with a new drawing/thinking exercise to shake it and get my head in the game. It’s called Twenty Somethings. Pick a thing, draw it 20 times. No erasing, fill the page and stretch your brain. Give it a try and let me know if it worked for you. Go draw! 🙌✏️🧠#illustration #drawing#prompt#thinking#drawing#sketchbook#art#artist#artseducation#draweveryday

“Steve McQueen presents more than 3,000 class photographs @tate Britain. This epic, important installation brings together images of tens of thousands of Year 3 pupils from across London. For these children, the effect of seeing themselves on the walls of a major museum cannot be overestimated. The chronicle of a generation.... “ - @garethharr, Chief Contributing Editor, @theartnewspaper.official⠀

Tomorrow, we celebrate the birthday of Claude Monet (1840-1926)! 🎉
In 1961, Leonard Bernstein presented a Young People's Concert, "What Is Impressionism?” Bernstein focused on impressionism in music, discussing the methods and styles of Debussy and Ravel. He conducted the New York Philharmonic in three movements from "La Mer" and the final dance of "Daphnis et Chloe" and explained the tools that the those composers used to make "impressionistic" music. 🎶
🗨“Look at the Monet again. This is almost like a dream of a cathedral, an impression of it, a suggestion, as we said before of this cathedral, as seen at a certain moment of the day, when the light was a certain way. Now imagine, Monet painted over 30 different pictures of this same view in different lights –bright morning, cloudy afternoon and others; and this one --as you see, if you could only see the colors – is the cathedral in the sunset, which has turned the stone into a dazzling, blurry dance of blues and oranges and mauves. Now that’s one impression of this Cathedral at Rouen. This is almost like a dream of a cathedral…” 🎨

"I am the happiest when my parents take me shopping and we but clothes, " said Mangala, a student of class-4th at Govt Primal School, Durgakund(2). The students have a rhyme named " A Happy Child" in their English textbook. So, we asked them what makes them feel happiest and draw the same. With such themes for Let's Start Art sessions, we are trying to integrate arts with other subjects to encourage reading habits among the students.
Help us reach more students and provide them better education, contribute now using the LINK IN BIO.
