Think porn is only harmful if you're in a romantic relationship? Think again! 👇
There are many porn consumers out there who justify or disregard the harmfulness of their porn habit because they are not currently in a relationship. But more and more research is showing how pornography doesn't just affect the consumer while they're watching but has lasting effects that can follow them well into their future relationships.
You and your future partner deserve better than porn. Don't hurt your future relationship for the temporary pleasure of porn. 🙅

After being trafficked in porn for nearly a year, a missing 15-year-old girl has been found and her trafficker is behind bars. But 58 pornographic videos of her exploitation have been circulated online, including on Pornhub, the world's largest porn site. Can sites like these be held accountable for their role in profiting off of child sex trafficking? Click the temporary link in our bio to read more.

A typical, healthy person wouldn’t naturally have an interest in sexual violence or bestiality. In fact, what would have once been a “natural” arousal template would have been changed over time as it was desensitized by more and more graphic material (i.e. pornography).
Enter hardcore pornography. What would have started as a standard interest in “soft-core” porn can now develop into an interest in hardcore, violent pornography that can even involve animals, or even children. Do you see the issue here?

But let’s play pretend for a moment in a world where porn is not addictive and has no addictive potential. Would there still be an issue with consuming it? Is pornography’s harm limited only by its addiction potential? 🤔
Let’s take a look at three reasons why even if pornography wasn’t addictive, it can still be harmful to individuals and our society. 👇
1. Porn normalizes and capitalizes off of atrocities such as racism, misogyny, and violence. In real life, sexual violence and incest are not only seen as unacceptable but are straight-up illegal. So why is it acceptable to romanticize these things? 🙅
2. Porn is directly linked to human trafficking. It may be tough to hear, but research and personal accounts from trafficking survivors show how porn increases the demand for sex trafficking in different ways. ⛓️
3. Consuming porn supports the industry as a whole. The more research is coming out about the industry, the more society is learning that there truly is no ethical way to consume pornography. ❌
Stand with us against porn addiction and the many harms of pornography and ditch porn for good! Not convinced? Get more information by going to the link in our bio. 📲

More and more cases of child-on-child sexual assault are reported with each passing year. Back in 2013, a 12-year-old schoolboy raped his seven-year-old sister after he watched hardcore porn on the internet. “Blackburn Youth Court heard the boy had viewed pornography in the company of his friends before he gained 'a desire to try it out.'”, according to The Telegraph.
I will write about this appalling case in an upcoming post.
This quote made me think of the debate on BDSM. Let’s take, for example, the normalization of choking during sexual intercourse. Before the rise of the porn industry, this was deemed abnormal by women, who were aware that men have been doing it out of hatred when raping them for millennia. Nowadays, if you oppose it, even your female peers might label you as a prude, an angry feminazi and so on. The denial of influence, manipulation and persuasion in the groups of women who claim to find nothing wrong with this practice blows my mind.
Porn doesn't just hurt romantic relationships. Porn can distort the way a consumer sees people, causing him or her to see friends, family members, coworkers, or strangers on the street only as a sum of body parts, discarding their humanity. And as a porn consumer finds himself or herself further down this cycle, an isolating porn habit can lead consumers to skip out on interacting with friends, trying new hobbies or participating in old ones, and ultimately connecting with the people in their lives.
So, does porn create intimacy and connection, or does it harm it? 🤔

"I have struggled with using pornography and prostitutes for 12 or so years now. It has been a constant temptation and struggle of mine and I have never been able to kick it. Not until I watched Nefarious: Merchant of Souls. That movie broke my heart in every single way that it needed breaking and I can't thank you guys, and God, enough... You're not only breaking women out of slavery, I haven't touched porn or prostitution since I saw that documentary. You guys are changing the world and I'm proud to support you. I can't wait to see what great things you will accomplish in the future!" -Exodus Cry Donor | Victory! #SexTrafficking#HumanTrafficking#Prostitution#AntiPorn#porn#ummah#islam#muslim#muslimah#aligarh#aligarhmuslimuniversity#delhi#instagood

I think the biggest lie pornography tells about women (which has a massive contribution to the perpetuance of rape culture) is that women enjoy being humiliated, brutalized, treated like nothing but a masturbatory tool for men. Oftentimes one can come across videos based on the narrative of gradual enjoyment caused by sexual assault, where the female “performers” are made to act as if they end up reveling in what starts off as an obviously fear-inducing, painful occurrence. However, pornography tells us everything we need to know about men.
"My father was addicted to porn before I was born. I had no idea that he watched it until after my parents divorced when I was 14. Looking back the way that he treated me and my family all makes sense. He never loved my mom the way that he should have. He degraded her body, he was constantly disrespectful to her, and his anger was unpredictable.
He ended up having an affair and moving in with his partner.
I don't know if I will ever get my dad back, and I blame pornography for playing a part in that." #pornkillslove#nopornnovember#considerbeforeconsuming#fightthenewdrug #objecttotreatingpeoplelikeobjects
