I'm hopeful @netflix will donate the remaining $5mm to @animalsanctuary so they can begin work on their new spot in Southern #Colorado. It's the right thing to do or folks should boycott that dopey animal exploitation show you are making tons on. #animalwelfare#AnimalAbuse

THANK YOU CHRIS W!! We got the most wonderful surprise in the mail today. My picture does not do it justice. It is the most perfect wooden sign that is going to be absolutely wonderful on our new front porch. The attention to detail is amazing. Just look at the animals at the bottom – duck, cat, dog, goat, donkey, llama, cow and horse! I LOVE it!!! 💕

Animals aren't numbers, they aren't property, they aren't products... they are living, breathing, thinking, feeling, sentient beings. They shouldn't be tagged, branded, marked, bred, raised, and slaughtered for any reason.
Animals. Are. Not. Products.
I remember when this tag was removed from Captain. I cried, I cried great big emotional tears, and I'll never forget the day that he was no longer #1276, but he was finally free to be a cow, named Captain for the rest of his life!
1276 is a number I'll never forget, and it will be part of my next tattoo!
Over the years, we’ve taken in several hundred rescued battery cage hens. A battery cage hen is a hen that for her entire egg laying life has been confined to live in a space no larger than a sheet of notebook paper along with up to five other birds crowded into the same filthy tiny cage. Just one egg producing factory farm can house as many as 50,000 hens in just a few sheds. The numbers are staggering and heartbreaking, with few hens making it to their second birthday before their egg laying production slows down which means certain death. Unfortunately, at this time they are considered worthless and “spent” and as a result, killed in the most horrific ways possible, Once rescued (liberated) we work along with other sanctuaries to help give these wonderful ladies a new, loving forever home they so well deserve. Not everyone can take in battery cage hens but EVERYONE CAN stop contributing to the horrific egg industry by not consuming eggs. Try no eggs or a egg substitute, it’s that easy! Liberation is LOVE 💚#animalliberation #henliberation#animalsanctuary#farmanimalsanctuary#sanctuary#batterycage#batterycagehens#liberationislove#vegan#govegan

Hey @netflix, have you considered channeling some of Tiger King's popularity into a fundraising campaign for the @animalsanctuary that rescued the tigers?
Some of Joe Exotic's tigers and bears are now PROPERLY cared for at the @animalsanctuary and just 45 mins outside of my hometown Denver, Colorado. The videos on site speaks for itself. Please donate if you have the means, they really need it right now. https://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org/mile-into-the-wild-walkway …
🤩🍞Taylor baked a beautiful #wholewheat#plantbased loaf of bread today (swipe to view!), and everyone got a little taste. It’s not very often we deviate from the animals’ optimal diets, but on occasion it’s so nice to share a #homemade#wholegrain treat with everyone! 🥰 Here’s a clip of the piggies enjoying their share, though Tabitha was too busy grazing nearby to make an appearance. Don’t worry! We saved her some! 😊😊😊
We hope this makes Friday feel fun! Blue and his friends got to access the spring pasture today full of fresh, green grass. There were happy kicks and jumps followed by lots of munching!
Fresh grass is a great source of nutrition for cows and is full of important vitamins, so we use a pasture rotation system for our cows so they have access to more fresh green grass throughout the year. Today they got their first taste of the spring pasture!
If you’ve watched #TigerKingNetflix you saw tigers and other big cats live in awful spaces. The @animalsanctuary in Colorado now cares for 42 of Joe’s cats. I’ve been twice to the #TheWildAnimalSanctuary and they deeply care for animals.https://retro1025.com/42-of-the-tiger-kings-zoo-animals-now-live-at-a-colorado-sanctuary/?fbclid=IwAR2-NcbBR3yWVqC9_qXW1sOpz24hXqY9kwcOy7cPNwfeXARfR2fMgzX6gm0 …

Thank you for rescuing these tigers! Thanks to all involved!
Wow. That's pretty impressive. With a space of this size, do the animals start to revert back to natural behaviors? Are they ever able to hunt any wildlife on the property? Do they pair up to attempt mating? I'm so curious about how they act in a large natural space!
Good morning from the crew at Rooterville! Nothing like a good ole piggy smile to start your day off right❤️
Remember, anyone who donates to our fundraiser (link in bio) today or tomorrow will get a personal video dedicated to them of us feeding their favorite resident some snacks :)

#TBT This was the first time Chico accepted human affection. Our staff and volunteers would take shifts being out in the pasture with them. We would read, meditate, sit quietly or talk to them. We waited until they were ready. Chico was ready.
Remember to love one another today. Our animals are living examples of what loving someone can do for them. 🥰
Dear friends, first of all we would like to thank those who have donated to our campaign! And we would love to invite those who have not donated yet but know our work, to please donate whenever possible! As you know our daily duties to feed and maintain our rescues are not on lockdown. Prior to the world pandemic our situation has been already quite challenging for a while, despite our fundraising tours and activities. But now, while being unable to offer fundraising activities and still paying off repairs that had to be done, it is an even bigger challenge. Without the accessibility of volunteers we are currently running the Foundation with just three people! We urgently ask everyone to support our rescues and Nonprofit and donate whatever possible and spread the word by sharing our campaign. We need your help. Donate today through the link in their bio. The Foundation and every rescue say Thank You!
All donations are Tax deductible

I've never made a secret of the fact that I have a special relationship with Gladys and June. I adore them but then I have had an affinity for old donkeys ever since I met my very first love, old Roy. Sadly, like many old donkeys, they have terrible hooves with frequent abscesses. My daily routine includes picking their hooves out every morning to try and stave off ,issues. It's not my favorite chore just because my back does not appreciate being hunched over but it is tolerable because these ladies are just the best. Every morning, they come into a stall together for a handful of their oats. After I hand out the morning food and meds to everyone else, I join them in the stall for their pedicures. The stalls are 10' x 10' and Gladys and June are our largest donkeys so we're a tight little trio in there. Gladys is pretty easy-going but she absolutely will NOT let me do her first. If I try, she just won't have it! So I always have to start with June. They're so good, I don't even put halters on them or tie them up. I just go from hoof to hoof until I'm finished.
When I work on June, Gladys supervises and stands close. (With the three of us in a 10 x 10 stall, there is no such thing as social distancing.) But my sweet June is the most precious supervisor in the world. I honestly think that she thinks that she's part of the process. Some of the time, she will lay her head on Gladys' back and peer over at me. Some of the time, she will peek under Gladys' belly or around her neck. But, her latest thing, is that she bows her head down and gently, gently presses her forehead to my forehead so there we are, heads pressed together, working on Miss Gladys. It's truly the sweetest, most gentle gesture of all of the animals here. I love these ladies so much. 💕

I have been watching Lucky Duck all day. I think he has decided that he is a barn animal rather than a pond duck. He has been hanging out in the back pasture and around the barn with all of the other animals for most of the day. He has even convinced one of the other ducks to hang out with him there. I think the other animals are a little baffled about his presence but nobody seems to mind too much. We are a pretty congenial, inclusive group. 🤗💕

🐖 Two weeks ago I was camping in South Carolina as the virus went from a scare to a Pandemic. I had to pack up my tent, pup and scratch my head for ideas of where to go next. Where did I opt for...? Here @gratefulmeadows in the beautiful state of Virginia. Nestled back behind some lovely farm land I drove up to a beautiful Log home that instantly hit my heartstrings reminding me of my family home. Upon parking I was greeted with a smile by Jonathan who runs this Small Animal Sanctuary. My stress from the scares of the world instantly left me as I realized I was surrounded by grateful animals who just had love to share. 🏡 Here I met Winnie, their adorable house piggy. #animalsanctuary#airbnb
The shelter plans to kill all dogs and cats. If you live in California especially please adopt. Adoption is free!!!

Hello, I’m @vetnurseruby 👍 Welcome to my tips for getting through home isolation!
1. Get yourself a comfy chair – this is an important one.
2. Make sure the comfy chair is placed near a window (for ample bird, cat and human watching). 🐈
3. Follow Edgar’s Mission on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok for a daily dose of positivity and cuteness!
4. Stay connected with your friends. This can be done by phone, email or when outdoors simply bark loudly to alert your friends that you are there. Then your friends can come outdoors and also bark loudly.
5. Keep a daily routine. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same as mine but I suggest it includes the following...Wake up, stretch, lick your paws, eat breakfast, play zoomies, follow Pam around the sanctuary, annoy the cat, sleep, look for food around the house and then repeat.
6. Ask your family members to rub your belly.
7. Share this message with your friends. Let’s make kindness viral!
Thank you. The End. From Vet Nurse Ruby. ❤️🐾🐕
PLEASE SHOW THIS LADY SOME LOVE! PLEASE SHARE FOR RUBY!
This beautiful lady is Ruby, a fluffy larger-sized Pomeranian who may be around 5-6 years old. Ruby was rescued by NDLB and brave activists from illegal dog traffickers heading to be slaughtered, her fur most likely to be used for gloves or shoes!
Ruby is beautiful, friendly, and truly fantastic! Looking for a gem of a dog? A survivor who will cuddle up with you? Ruby is your girl! Apply to adopt Ruby at https://bit.ly/3dSEp7T
We can’t continue to shut down slaughter houses and intercept illegal dog trafficking trucks and shut down breeders unless we get these amazing dogs into forever loving homes! Visit our adoption page to see all the beautiful souls waiting to come home to you!
