We're nearly entering into the 20th day of this complete shutdown in Kashmir, and the situations have no way near to getting better. It won't. The instances coming out from Kashmir are far more than disturbing, the incidents of open torture and harassment are prevalent. That is why media coverage is as throttled as communication is.
Army men are storming inside houses at night, shouting at the women that they're coming for their daughters next, taking away young boys who are never seen again. Disappearances have yet again started, if you aren't aware, Kashmir has a gloomy history of disappearance and never returning of them. The portrayal of this is almost accurate in "Haider". The skeptical thinkers asking for evidences must wonder themselves that how is it possible to gather evidences when the government is not allowing any means of communication in and out? The army is not pure in anyway, its hands are drenched in blood of innocents. The hypernationalism has led people to worship the Indian army, while completely blinded of the fact that it's always the army, of any country, who is used to suppress the voice and their rise against any regime. They are given the authority to shoot and scare people, and they gladly do so.
There is no certainty where all this will end, the heart sometimes sinks down to a bottomless depth, and all hopes seem like flickering candles.
But always remember that we have to win, victory is ours because we are on the right side in this moment of history, and for us to lose would be an unnatural thing to happen among the laws of universe. All voices who are drowning and justifying these cries of people, they'll be nowhere when we'll look back at this. -

After my tweets (and other social media posts) on 'J&K and International Law', I have had a few discussions with people regarding how International Law works. Some of the interesting things that came up again and again (most of which are unrelated to each other).
