This time last year, at Petra. I have warm memories of Jordan. It had been on my bucket list for ages, knowing it was the land where my dad grew up. The hospitality & welcoming we received throughout was so beautiful, so warm. The local friends we made are special, life-long friendships. I still salivate over the delicious food we had, especially the felafel and zaataar. So authentic and delicious, pretty much everywhere you go.
Our time at Petra was my least favourite of our visit. I was unprepared for what I saw here, and our sadness is evident in all the pictures we took here 💔 There always good with the bad, and in my experience, travel usually involves a mix of positive and not so positive experiences. It's how you manage it and what you take away that counts 🧡 #Petra#Jordan

My image was featured in @natgeo's Best Travel Photos of 2019. This image was made at the Taj Mahal, in Agra, India. This had been my third time visiting this monument and it was the most inspiring visit yet. I was walking the perimeter of the structure, trying to avoid crowds and revel in the artistry and craftsmanship but also the spiritual mood of the place. As I was walking, I was also looking for unique angles or moments, given this is one of the most photographed places on earth. I got to this location as part of a @NatGeo Expeditions Tour that I was leading earlier this year. ⠀
