Technology becomes more and more important to our lives and that it can even define the careers which will be declined, continue to exist or newly wanted.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Future Of Report 2018, the job that will become increasingly redundant over 2018-2022 period are routine based, manual dexterity, auditory management of financial or math.
But it is also creates many more careered based on the technology. But that doesn’t mean human skills would be deceased, it will likewise retain or even increase for instance creativity, originality and emotional intelligence.
There is still room for people to grow more when they can find the skills they need to improve.

Vanessa Nakate, a 23-year-old climate activist from Uganda who attended the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, was shocked to see that she had been cropped out of a photo issued by the Associated Press news agency featuring Greta Thunberg and fellow activists Luisa Neubauer, Isabelle Axelsson, and Loukina Tille. Nakate told BuzzFeed News she was heartbroken when she saw the photo: “I cried because it was so sad not just that it was racist, I was sad because of the people from Africa." AP later issued a version of the same photo featuring Nakate standing next to the other activists and told BuzzFeed News there was "no ill intent." Click our link in bio to read the full story. The World economic forum have done some great articles on women in STEM subjects and on the wider global issues of gender disparity. -
There was a simple little social experiment asking children from age 5-16 to simply “draw a scientist”
The younger the child the more likely she was to draw a female where as the older they got the more likely they were to draw a man. -
Boys of all ages where much more unlikely to draw a female. ☹️
Check out the link on my profile to look at a recent article about 7 great female scientist that you can teach your kids about. -

This is what's wrong with Human Resources - and how to change it - World Economic Forum
The World Economic forum reported that the internet can boost GDP by 3.4%! What seems like a small number is HUGE when considering this variable was only recently introduced. How can we expect countries to compete in a global economy without a tech based infrastructure??#UCLAIS20
India became the fifth largest economy by overtaking the UK and France in 2019 said a US-based think tank World Population Review. It pegged the size of Indian economy at $3.26 trillion.
India's service sector is the fastest growing sector in the world accounting to 60% of the economy and 28% of the employment.

As Valentines approach I wonder if A rose is a rose is a rose.... or is it? What exactly does it mean when you buy Fairtrade roses or non fairtrade? I am so proud of my husband John Nevado for being a role model for how rose farming should be done. PBS came to visit our farms in Ecuador a few years ago and the story is still very relevant -
John Nevado, a progressive grower in Latacunga, 56 miles south of Quito, is one of the leaders of the fair trade movement. As he took us on a tour of his two rose farms, Nevado explained some of the practices he's adopted that are not only improving worker's rights in the industry but also appealing to a more green-conscious consumer abroad. "One of the effects of the fair trade system is that you're empowering people by not only giving them extra money. They also take classes in rudimentary finance, accounting, project management, to manage the extra money they make."
Recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Nevado uses sustainable techniques such as growing chamomile to ward off certain pests, introducing spiders to eat other pests and using chili and garlic spray in lieu of chemical pesticides. These practices have made his fair trade roses hugely successful in Europe.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hyazinthe - Tag 5: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rise up like rooted trees ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How surely gravity’s law,
strong as an ocean current,
takes hold of even the smallest thing
and pulls it toward the heart of the world.
each stone, blossom, child—
is held in place.
Only we, in our arrogance,
push out beyond what we each belong to
for some empty freedom.
If we surrendered
to earth’s intelligence
we could rise up rooted, like trees.
Instead we entangle ourselves
in knots of our own making
and struggle, lonely and confused.
So, like children, we begin again
to learn from the things,
because they are in God’s heart;
they have never left.
This is what the things can teach us:
patiently to trust our heaviness.
Even a bird has to do that
before he can fly.

Climate change is the defining issue of our times. Cities cover only 2% of the surface of the planet, but are responsible for around 80% of global CO2 emissions. As such, they are both key to the problem but also an inescapable part of any solution. Organized by MIT Senseable City Lab and the World Economic Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanization, the Forum on Future Cities: Urban Climate brings to MIT key thinkers, mayors, senior industry leaders and members of civil society to explore ways to enact change in our cities and curb global warming. Join us on April 6, 2020, on the MIT campus. For more info, look at our bio. .

The current population of Ethiopia is 113,826,823 as of Monday, February 10, 2020, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.
Ethiopia 2020 population is estimated at 114,963,588 people at mid year according to UN data.
Ethiopia population is equivalent to 1.47% of the total world population. The country ranks number 12 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. 21.3% of population is urban, and median age is 19.5 years. In the 21st century so far, populous countries and strong population growth were most often associated with Asia – but this view of the world will have to change in the future, data by the United Nations and Pew Research Center shows.
While in 2020, five out of the ten most populous countries in the world were located in Asia, the picture will look different in 2100, when five African countries – Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of the Congo – will be among the world’s ten largest. While some Asian countries will continue to grow, they will do so at a lower rate and will be surpassed in population by African countries exhibiting faster growth. Others, like China and Bangladesh are actually expected to shrink until 2100, mainly a result of higher standard of living and education that has already begun to lower birth rates. In 2100, this figure will make Ethiopia 8th most populated country in the world, while Nigeria will be 3rd (with 733 million). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
