10 things to remember today (and every day!).⠀
1. Take a step back. It’s sometimes the most productive thing you can do.⠀
2. Choose curiosity over judgement. Judging others won’t make you feel any better about yourself.⠀
3. Communicate your needs rather than expecting others to know what you need.⠀
4. Respond more than you react.⠀
5. Try again. Just because something didn’t work for you in the past doesn’t mean it won’t now.⠀
6. Check-in with your values and priorities when making tricky decisions.⠀
7. Look forward to what’s ahead but don’t forget to live in the moment you’re in.⠀
8. Do things just for fun.⠀
9. Celebrate how far you’ve come and the changes you’ve made since this time last week, month or year.⠀
10. Focus more on the things you want to do rather than the things you think you ‘should’ be doing.⠀

Truth: I don’t love complicated.
I love a plan, a routine and and outline but I don’t like fuss. I don’t like messy decision making. I don’t like questioning which action I should take next. Don’t get me wrong, I’m down with a little spontaneity - I’m just more down with having a plan so that the spontaneous moments, those moments are filled with pure joy - not stress. I prefer being present in all aspects of my life rather than being in my head wondering what to do next.
That’s why I’m so vocal about time management. That’s why I preach about all the productivity hacks, tips and tricks.
Not because I’m type A, high maintenance or because I can’t “live a little” - NOPE!! It’s because I like to live A LOT - with as little stress as possible and with the intention of always being present.
I’m taken aback when people say that creating habits that support productivity seems too complicated.
Maybe it’s just a matter of personal opinion but I don’t think there’s anything complicated about finding a system that allows you to:
-relax with your husband in the evenings without worrying about how x,y and z are going to get done.
-being able to be fully present while playing with your children. -fitting in self-care every single day without your mind being clouded with second guessing if you “have time”.
No, I’m not about complicated. I’m just about being able to live my life to the fullest <3
I needed a little sweet with my sass - a spoonful of @sunbutter with a few chocolate chips does the trick.

Still haven’t figured out how to make 2020 be your best year yet!
Have you set your goals and have you created a plan, yet you seem to just miss your goals and the plan seems to be slipping away?
Or do you struggle to create a plan to achieve your goals?
Then this workshop is a must do, because:
It helps you find out why time slips away based on your personality type and what can you do to stop it.
Visualize and create an inspiring tool in your planner about your bigger picture for the year.
Work with your goals and map out how to achieve them.
Create a doable PLAN, based on realistic goals.
Find effective tools to help you on the journey to be more productive.
Making Quicker Decision Part 1 .
Don’t spend so much time researching options, that you never choose anything or achieve your goals. .
Let’s say you’ve been wanting to take a painting class, yoga class, or some other class to learn a skill. It can be stressful looking at all the local studios and freelance teachers in your area claiming they are the best and will help you achieve your goal. It’s hard to choose which one with so many options. .
To make this process easier, go on a website like Yelp and see which classes/teachers have the highest reviews and the most reviews. These are the tried and true professionals. If you have a friend who can make a strong recommendation, that’s even better! Make a list of ONLY the top five local studios and teachers you like, then go to each of their websites and look at the artwork or the results that the students have achieved. .
You’ll know which studio or teacher to choose based on whose results you like the best. And you can always ask to audit a class to see if you like it first! But go achieve your goals. Don’t spend so much time making a decision in fear of making a wrong one ❤️ .

What do you have to work on this morning, but just can't get yourself to get started?
I am working on a new online home organizing course on Instagram that launches in a few weeks and today I have to film the video's. This is something new to me, and it scares me, so I put this off (and write this post instead).
To get it done, I hired another Professional Organizer as accountability buddy. We meet online this Friday and agreed that by then, all videos are filmed and saved in the Cloud. This works for me as I am not going to let her down.
Procrastination is something we all do. Many of my clients don't know how to organize their spaces, or just dislike the work. They hire me to help them get it done.
What do you do to beat procrastination and get difficult or boring tasks done?
Make this your to-do list instead of going to the bank, shoe repair or the post office, picking up dry cleaning, folding laundry, taking the dog to the groomer, organizing the pantry, picking up a prescription, mailing out holiday cards, doing store returns, chopping up vegetables for dinner, going to Costco....... you get the idea. Consider It Done! offers excellence in personal assistance. We're here to make all those to do's disappear. 919-697-8874 Servicing all areas of The Triangle, NC.....

HOLD ON A SECOND...! Seriously, take a minute to think about where you are right now, and not always where you are planning to be. It’s important to keep goals in mind but not to obsess over them. You need to enjoy life, be present and in the moment. Keep chasing your goals babe, but don’t forget to stop and appreciate the little things.

Time management tips for knocking doors
For me, it's a lifelong struggle with procrastination. As much as I know, intuitively, how much better I feel when I just get something done, I invariably wait for the last minute to start. Ugh. #timemanagement
Are you ready for the week? By starting off your week with goals, a plan, and a positive mindset, you will be off to a great start!
I have to plan everything or at least write it down because it holds me more accountable. By scheduling gym time , I am going to go because it’s scheduled just like any other appointment.
For the big ugly tasks you aren’t looking forward too this week... do it first so you don’t always have the anxiety and negativity of not wanting to do it taking up space . Get it done and out of the way girl!
I am excited to make a new vision board this week 💐🥰🌸🎉 What are your tips for planning your week and what is one awesome thing you are going to do?

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.⠀
Ever notice how little you actually get done when you don’t plan out your day? Or much extra food you buy or forgetting things at the store if you don’t plan and make a list?⠀
I make sure to plan out my week every Sunday. I write down everything I have to do for work, from my full time job to my coaching business, to kid activities and appointments, and every other responsibility I have.⠀
And then I get to do my favorite thing with my calendar. Time blocking! This is a strategy that I have grown to love! You plan out your day in blocks of time, knowing exactly what you want to accomplish during that time so you stay on track. This helps keep me focused as I tend to get side tracked super easy.⠀
What’s your favorite way to do your planning for the week?

🏡 How do you manage your distractions when working from home?
🤨Today I woke up feeling a little groggy and under the weather, which I think can be attributed to taking on a little too much over the weekend and not giving myself enough down time.
💭While I’m glad that I’m able to honour my energy levels, working from home is something I find particularly challenging, and I think this is an experience that is echoed by a lot of small and home based business owners and entrepreneurs.
💫So I have done by best to put in some systems to optimise my day and increase my focus and concentration, including:
📋Writing out the daily tasks I want to complete so I can focus more ruthlessly on what needs to get done.
🗓Calendar blocking my day by setting aside specific times for these tasks on my Google Cal.
👩🏽💻 Reducing the number of tabs on my computer to only the ones I need for my current task.
🗣I’d love to know, what do you do to manage distractions and optimise your time when working from home?

We make daily plans to relieve the pressure of the Zeigarnik Effect http://goo.gl/DIfFSL #timemanagement
Goat cheese Italian herb chicken, garlic couscous, and veg. Pretty bummed I couldn't grill today but did what I could with the ingredients I had. I butterflied the chicken breast to cook more evenly at 400 for 35 minutes. The couscous was from 2 days ago and needed to be used. Veggies were tossed and a garlic infused olive oil. Top chicken with goat cheese to have mind blown 🔥🎉🤯

That’s all there is. We can’t make more. They go by as they go by. We have only 168 hours per week to do everything that needs to get done. Like a cash only life, when there is nothing left, it’s gone - there’s no such thing as overdraft protection with our time.
The other day I was feeling ragged, worn out and like I was burning the candle at both ends, That's when I realized I had NOT done my usual practice and planned out my semester like I usually do. I forgot to budget my time before adding in any extras.

Spent some time listening and re-listening to @lvanderkam ‘s #TED talk on time management. The gist of it is that there’s enough time to accomplish the things that are priorities to you — about 72 hours in any given week. How you fill those hours is up to you. You get to take ownership and build the life you want.

Follow the six daily principles to create valuable time in your day: moving, breathing, nourishing, communication, http://bit.ly/2ocDXbE #timeisvaluable#timemanagement
Wondering what it takes to achieve long-term success in your business???⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are two main components you HAVE to have in order to be successful:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧩 A POSITIVE ATTITUDE! In all situations. Even on the crappiest day, when a client doesn't show up for a call and leaves you hanging, your attitude has to be bulletproof. Because at the end of the day, no one can MAKE you feel a certain way, you're allowing them to. So make a decision from this day forward that no matter what is going on around you, your attitude will always remain positive and upbeat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧩 HARD WORK . . . and I mean really hard work. Anyone who tells you otherwise isn't being real with you. But if you're willing to put in the work when others won't, you'll have a business and live a life that others won't. Hard work is the cost of entry if you want to build a business that lasts a lifetime.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The magic happens when attitude and hard work come together to create success. Tell us in the comments below: how do you always make sure you're maintaining a positive attitude? And tag a friend who could use a little positivity today!

Trying out a new scheduling system. The first pic is last week and the second pic is what I planned for tomorrow. Part of the reason I was so anxious last week was because I felt like I was running around yet nothing was getting done. I was busy, but not productive.
My sweet friend teaches women all about how to balance their time like they would balance their money. I love my lists and schedules but I am so likely to over obsessed and not allow myself to rest until everything is perfect (news flash, that never happens). While the second picture clearly looks more busy, it actually allows me to have nearly 4 hours of “me time” and makes more room for my work and bettering myself!
