FIST FIGHT (2017) • At first I thought this would be a fun disposable film but almost from the beginning the film shows off a bad attitude & disgusting hateful characters. Usually the teenage students are the ones who aren't the victims but more the bullies.
Even when the film tries to be funny it is more offensive & gross. Worst of all none of it is funny. As the film has a noted talented cast who are given nothing to play but exclusively one dimensional characters. Christina Hendricks fates the worst as her teacher is noticeably attractive but just violent for no reason.
Most of the more notable cast members other Than the leads seem here more for a quick paycheck & make a few quick appearances. They more or less feel like a bunch of guest stars & special appearances.
Charlie Day can be funny but his character is just so unbelievably, sniveling & weak that it is impossible to find any sympathy or even identify with his character. Though he tries to wring everything he can out of the material & script. It's a shame as he has the talent to be a leading man and funny & it just feels he is wasted here.
Jillian bell is mildly amusing in her role as Charlie's confident & fellow teacher. Ice Cube does his usual. It’s strange though his character is over the top. He is somewhat likeable, the only real scene that approaches humor is when he reenacts all the stories that are told about his past that resemble all his old movie roles.
The only other scene that comes close to being funny or amusing is day's daughters talent show which is more shocking then funny & the actual fight at the end.
Like a reimagining of THREE O’CLOCK HIGH only from the teachers P.O.V. With scenes that seem to copy from that film or at least it's plot points. The humor is more adult here yet seems more simplistic & childish.
There is no nuance. The film just feels like all it contains is bright colors. Though the film and the script & in essence the humor is very lazy. Even with the hyperkinetic camera & editing that tries to make it feel energetic or just distracting

You would have seen how beautiful this lip shade from @blurindia is in my previous post. If you haven't already go check it now!
Now coming to the bad & the ugly about @blurindia
I purchased the eyeliner and the BLURStick in I'm Sorry Are You Vodka? in their anniversary BOGO sale. I was so excited to try them and their packaging was so beautiful. But to my disappointment the lipstick was completely broken from the base and the bullet was damaged. I convinced myself, went ahead and used the lipstick. I was in a hurry to try it so just used it and removed it after a while. I didn't even notice anything else except how good the shade was. But the next time I tired it and removed it using a good lip makeup remover there was this dark stain left behind - I always love a good tint but definitely not a fan of such stains and I hated seeing it even after cleaning up my lips thrice. I used 2 different makeup removers, a cleansing wipe & finally some soap to get rid of that nasty stain. Swipe ⬅️ to see the last picture where the stain is still there after all these!! Crazy right? It's certainly something terribly wrong with their formula for sure.
I generally don't like brand bashing but I really wanted to bring this out because the brand didn't even mind about such huge complaints and keep posting only the positive content. So many of us highlighted these issues in our stories but the brand didn't even care to discuss about this. If that's how a brand would really treat their customers then #sorrynotsorry I wouldn't recommend @blurindia to anyone! Their lipsticks are crappy & I'm definitely not ready to even try their Kajal and end up hurting my eyes! I quite like their eyeliner though. All I wanted was to support an indie brand and now I'm shit scared to try another one🙄
Have you tried anything from @blurindia ? How was your experience? Do share it in the comments because it would help lots of people to decide!
