Played my final game of competitive hockey last year after spending my whole life carrying around a hockey stick and mouth guard. Despite the change to an individual sport, the lessons I learnt about team work, camaraderie, competitive mindset and communication has paved the way for how I coach others and train myself now. Forever grateful for those lessons that I one day hope to teach others🤘🏼
Day 1: Our 11 year old is on board with going vegetarian vegan our 6 year old is way to use to what she eats now. We don't want to push, so trying to offer better options when at home. Tonight was burrito bowls with beans which she doesn't like but will eat rice fruits/veggies separately. So we had a snack tray to go along with dinner. So much to learn but excited to try new things.

Porque por mais que eu tente me programar, a vida reserva muita surpresas. No yoga eu aprendo todo dia, que os dias não são iguais, que eu posso fazer algo todo dia, mas não significa que todo dia será feito da mesma maneira. Somos seres adaptáveis, por mais difícil que seja isso para nosso cérebro.
No yoga eu aprendo que assim como na vida ser flexível é uma necessidade, porém ser muito flexível pode me machucar. Ser adaptável não, ser adaptável te ajuda a enxergar a vida diferente, e aceitar que nem tudo vem quando queremos, mas sim quando precisamos. 💫

My body has been teaching me to adapt. Cause as much as I try to plan my life and myself, life shows me that it holds many surprises. In yoga I learn every day, that the days are not the same, that I can do something every day, but it doesn't mean that every day will be done the same way. We are adaptable beings, no matter how difficult it is for our brain.
Yoga taught me that just as in life being flexible is a necessity, but being too flexible can hurt me. Different from being adaptable, being adaptable helps you to see life differently, and accept that things will happen when it’s supposed to, not when we want to. 💫 Namaste ✨ #yogajourney#yogi

I think that mindset can be just as dangerous as focusing on only the future. I compete to be my best at any given moment. Sure improving and doing better in the future is important, but if I can't do well now either than clearly something isn't right. Goes both ways.
Day 99/116 Marathon Training (-18 days)
3 miles Recovery Walk
On Sunday, I slipped in our shower room, landing badly on my right knee. It is swollen and bruised. I’m walking with a slight limp and a bit of pain. Running is not possible without serious risk of making my current injury worse or causing a different injury due to my altered gait. I figuring what I can do in the mean time and am doing it!
Training plans may change but I do not stop!
I’ll start off this post by saying, there’s nothing wrong with experiencing fantasy love. Almost all of us going through this level of emotional maturity. I know I did. This is the version love we’ve been modeled. So, we find it in adulthood and we re-live it. That’s what humans do.
Our conditioning is deeply impacted by a parent or caregiver we had the most conflicted relationship with. As children we were desperate to get this person’s love. Their own unresolved trauma didn’t allow them to hear or see us. So we carry this attachment wound with us. It doesn’t just go away. We project this wound onto everyone, but no one as much as we do our romantic partners. They’re the closest to us. They activate our wounding at the most intense levels.
My greatest wound came from my mother. Her chronic illness left her mostly in bed, unavailable to emotionally connect. Because of her own trauma, she lived in an anxious survival state. I found myself attracted to partners who also lived in this state. It felt familiar, like home. I got to be the “rational” one. I got to be needed as a function for someone. That’s what love became for me: fulfilling a role while also neglecting my own needs.
Because sickness often kept her away from my life experiences, I had no true sense of attachment security. Someone not being present felt like an attack on my nervous system, + it was. So I clung + craved to an “over-togetherness.” My partnerships didn’t allow for self space. I didn’t want them too. Space (at that time) meant loss of love. And the perceived feeling of abandonment I experienced as a child made me desperate to never experience that with a partner.
Through a ton of work + evolution, I’ve began to heal from the version of fantasy love I inherited. My programming still comes up, my ego still does its thing, but now I share it. I vocalize it. We can laugh about it. We can understand where it comes from.
Authentic love holds space for the past. Then, it holds even more space to consciously create the future. #selfhealers

That moment when parts of the life you always envisioned come to life before your very eyes.
SPOILER ALERT: it doesn’t just happen one day by chance.
I’ll tell you this much—it happens by doing certain things consistently over time, NOT one time.
Some things I still do that are the reason why I continue to win:
1️⃣ Have had some sort of coach for the last 7 years—and yes, this means I didn’t begin doing “the work” for just 6 months + then think “ok, now I’m good , so I’m going to stop because I feel better.” That’s uncovering ONE layer only. The real stuff comes after a year. And the same challenges you had when you began will not be the ones you have in even a few months.
2️⃣ Run. Run. Run. It’s an interesting love affair. Although I love it + it’s a profound power source for me, it makes me uncomfortable still sometimes. But that’s the part that actually keeps me coming back—that discomfort callouses my mind, making me mentally stronger because running is actually more mental than physical. Everyone always thinks running comes easy for me, but in reality, every time I go running, I teach myself how to love it.
3️⃣ Be impeccable with my word. If I said I was going to do something, I did it. If I still say I’m going to do something, I do it. Now, I’m not perfect, but I am definitely my word 95% of the time, and the other 5% I’ve improvised/I improvise—which means I still get it done somehow. And it also means I truly trust myself + I’m not full of shit. If only people understood the importance of this.
Extra on this: When we consistently act in a way that’s contrary to our own values or when we say we’re going to do, we erode trust in ourselves + along with it, our self-confidence. Every time you say something is important, then act contrary to that commitment, you teach your brain that you can’t be trusted + that you’re not reliable.
Moral of the story: create a system that works for you, be consistent with it, hire support to get you there, COMMIT to the process, continue to commit to it even when you start getting results, and don’t be full of shit—be your word.

Deadlift (hinge pattern)
🧠These four fundamental movement patterns are staples when it comes to my programming. Mastering these movements creates strong foundations for athletes/ general pop; to deal with the requirements/functional demands associated with daily activities, exercise, injury prevent and sport. Now don’t even get me started on how these movements (done correctly) will give you those glutes, chest, back and core you have been doing 20 different exercises; desperately trying to achieve.
Now let’s get personal, over 12 months ago I tore both my glute med’s.. 2 of my fundamental movement patterns went out the window👋 . Deadlifts came back within 3 months but my squats have suffered it’s now time to bring the weight right back down; re-ingrain the neural pathways (with some tweaks 😉) re-lay the foundations and get building again! .
Just give it time.. get the results
I like that mindset. The zoo consisted of fuckin sheep’s, horses, goats, and cows. CNE really thought they were doing something extravagant. Should’ve left the farm animals alone. Idk why people pay to see things they eat.

Your emotions are a bio-chemical feedback system, they were created to reflect back to you in all moments of your day what your vibrational frequency is. Why is understand this bio-chemical feedback system important? Having a deeper understanding of your frequency will help you make adjustments in your life to keep you in a state of higher consciousness. Consciousness and Frequency are one in the same, when you are in a low FQ you are in a decreased state of consciousness limiting your perception. When you are in a high FQ you are in a elevated state of consciousness and perception is increased, this is called “Flow State, Being in the Vortex” When in low states of consciousness your EGO is running the show restricting awareness, love, intuition, health and of course manifestations, Opposite goes for higher states of consciousness. To tell what FQ you’re in examine your emotional state, are you feeling negative emotions or positive emotions? This directly tells you if your FQ is high or low, your bio-chemical feedback system is telling you this based on the emotions it produce’s. Raising your vibrations and consciousness is about causing yourself to FEEL positive emotions. Thoughts create your emotions, your emotions reflect your thoughts and thoughts are vibration, you choose consciously or unconsciously your FQ. What thoughts are you having that are altering your FQ?

We finally opened up our MEL Chemistry kit and had some fun with hands on experiments. I think we’ll call this our #MadScienceMonday 😉 Super fun! Today was Chemistry of Monsters. Both kiddos took turns trying the experiment and during sister’s turn brother took a video with unsteady hands 😂🤷🏽♀️ Next week we’ll try out Tin 🤔
