I'm thankful I got to go home for Christmas this year. I even got to sneak into my old highschool weight room and get a couple lift sessions in with my best good friend. This weight room is where I fell in love with strength training. “Hi my name is Cheryl. I’m new to Crossfit, I joined the gym in July. In August I decided I was gonna run a half marathon but I had knee injuries from years before that were on and off so I started training and my knee started hurting. So I mentioned it to Andrew, Andrew did an assessment and thought he could help so I did five personal training sessions with him, focusing on strengthening my knee. After that I started to train, no knee pain. I’m still doing Crossfit, no knee pain and I highly recommend that if you’re uncomfortable or having any pain, just talk to somebody cause I’m gonna run another marathon!”

Avid gym goers know the friendships and bonds you create with the people you meet are something special. From motivating eachother to just saying hi on the daily and expecting them to be there smashing their goals just as you plan to do its a routine that you become used to. Luckily I ran into @superammar before the end of the semester because hes graduating and moving on to the next chapter of his life in a couple days. Congrats on makin it brotha! Im glad i had the chance to meet you. Youve inspired me and motivated me with all the hard work you put in day after day. It hasnt gone unnoticed! You know what’s cooler than watching yourself progress and transform? Watching your friends level up! 💪🏼.
