My friends have been all over me to post some more hockey stuff from my career. Truth is I retired from the #NHL while I could still play, not just play, but make an impact. Because of this, I distanced myself from the game, to not feel the pain of not doing something I loved so much. Out of sight, out of mind, you know?
In the selfless world of professional sports I decided to choose myself and my health after a couple of brain injuries with the @flapanthers A healthy, better life, for me and my family.
So now that I’m 42, I know hard to believe right? 😉 and it being home opener for the team I grew up idolizing, cheering for and admiring I thought I would post a wicked shot by my friend @jeffvinnick of me playing my last game living out my boyhood dream of being a @canucks
No doubt I’ve been blessed, much to be thankful for in my #NHL career. My first @nhl game was on #HockeyNightInCanada in Toronto, first goal was against the #Canucks, a couple Stanley Cups with an amazing bunch of guys with the @lakings but the one thing I left on the table was bringing a Stanley Cup to all of British Columbia.
So I’m putting some good vibes out hoping this group, ownership, my friends in the organization and those after them do something I really wished we did with our great teams in Van and bring a cup home. .
