Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was a millionaire for 2 years before he became a billionaire in 1997, when Amazon went public 😯
At the time, Buffett had a fortune of nearly $30 billion. Over 20 years later, Bezos is approximately $60 billion richer than Buffett!
The man is an all time business legend🔥
Warren Buffett is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, a holding company that owns a number of publicly-traded U.S. stocks. Berkshire must report to the Securities and Exchange Commission in filings made available to the public, what stocks they are invested in. There are times when Berkshire asks for, and receives, the SEC's permission to temporarily withhold data on some stock holdings.
The company currently owns 327,100 shares in Johnson & Johnson, as of June 30, 2019 as reported in Berkshire Hathaway's 13F filing on August 14, 2019. JNJ's next dividend payment is on September 10th and is $0.95 per share. 327,100 shares each providing $0.95 is $310,745 for the quarter
What would you invest $310,745 in? 😆

This is a gem of wisdom from Warren Buffett's right hand man Charlie Munger. He's the vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. The point in this quote is it's easy to get swept up in all the news and hype with the stock market. We're constantly being bombarded by the media about extremely positive circumstances that make us not want to miss out (FOMO), as well as extremely negative circumstances like the trade war, causing us to want to sell to avoid the pain or temporary displeasure of seeing our portfolio potentially in the red. If you believe in the fundamentals and reasons why you initially invested, there's no sense in getting scared out of a stock. The big money is in the waiting...
So many of you need to hear this quote from Buffett, and really let it sink in. His favourite holding period for a stock is forever 🔥
❌ Not a few days then selling because your investment went down in value
❌ Not holding stocks for a few months then seeing Bitcoin has grown past $10k so deciding to sell and throw money recklessly into crypto
Statistically, for the majority of stocks, holding them for longer periods (multiple years) will pay off 📈
Share this with someone who thinks too short term 👎🏼

September 15th is #NationalNeighborhoodDay!
Do you like your #neighborhood? I love mine 😊 The things that make a neighborhood great are obviously different for everyone, and some don't want to live in neighborhoods at all, but I like having good spots to run and gather with friends, having good neighbors (of which I have the best!) ... Quiet areas, nice views, ease of access to freeways, grocery stores, and so on, can also help to make a neighborhood great.
What makes a good neighborhood to you? Do you like your neighborhood? If not, I know a guy who can help you to find a neighborhood you'd like more! 😃
Here are a couple pictures of my neighborhood 😊
