"Satyameva Jayate" ("Truth alone triumphs") is a part of a mantra from the Hindu scripture Mundaka Upanishad.
Following the independence of India, it was adopted as the national motto of India on 26 January 1950, the day India became a republic. It is inscribed in the Devanagari script at the base of the Lion Capital of Ashoka and forms an integral part of the Indian national emblem.
The emblem and the words "Satyameva Jayate" are inscribed on one side of all Indian currency. The emblem is an adaptation of the Lion Capital of Ashoka which was erected around 250 BCE at Sarnath, Varanasi in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is inscribed on all currency notes and national documents.

Today was so powerful. We lay on the ground for 9 minutes. The amount of time it took for that Cop to take his knee off George Floyd’s neck. I cried as I laid on the ground in front of the Santa Barbara Police station. We as BLACK FOLK are not a crime for existing. We want change. Im so proud to be a BLACK.We are not going anywhere. KEEPING IT INTERESTING 🏋️♀️
I’m the kind of girl that constantly needs to be changing up her workouts. 🤸🏼♀️ I like to keep my body guessing by keeping things fun and fresh. This month I’m loving body weight plyometric workouts, whilst last month I was loving lifting heavy weights. I go through stages.
Sometimes it’s yoga 🧘🏼♀️ other times it’s boxing 🥊 or long distance running. I’ve done it all! My goal is to be healthy, and in my mind, healthy also means active and fit. So here I am, day after day, working hard to become my happiest and healthiest self! 🔥 I hope you’re all enjoying your workouts too! 💓 #sweatitreload#sweatittoshredit
Getting Back to It 👊🏻
Gyms are opening back up, and the majority of people haven’t been able to utilize weights for their workout. So that means max out and go 110% on their first workout back right? ❌. Not quite due to three reasons.
Think of it this way, whether or not you stayed sedentary or have been utilizing bands, outdoor activities, or bodyweight for your workouts. Your body will not be in the same state when you were CONDITIONED prior to the quarantine because it has been 1-2 months since you’ve utilized barbell/dumbbell work. Sure you have maintained general fitness and muscle mass BUT weights are a modality that will feel foreign to your body after a certain amount of time, roughly 1-2 months is enough time for certain modalities to feel “new” even though you were using them on the regular prior to quarantine.
Because of this your body will have a tough time using the same INTENSITY (Weight) and VOLUME (Reps/Sets) that you were two months prior. For example if you were able to squat 315lbs for a 3x5 at a moderate difficulty and you haven’t utilized the same intensity/volume, let alone perform a squatting movement during this time. You will have a very tough time doing that same workout. Either you won’t be able to lift, or you push through and either risk injury, or you are left sore for a week and are unable to train.
Pretty much, your threshold for training has decreased and you have gotten weaker, plain and simple truth. Therefore you have to set your ego aside and acknowledge that you have gotten weaker and take steps to get to where you were before, you’ll have to re-train yourself to your old standard.
Like I mentioned above this a topic that requires a more in depth approach due to everyone having a different threshold before/after this quarantine as everybody’s body is different.
