On this day... 18 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift and not one of them saw past 10:00am on September 11, 2001. REMEMBER - In one single moment life may never be the same again. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted...

Never Forget. My 9/11/01 was probably similar to a lot of yours. I was sitting in my 2nd grade teacher’s (mrs. meyers) classroom when all the adults started freaking out. She turned on the news and we watched as the reporting started. My mom rushed to our school and picked up my siblings and I. I was 7. I had no clue what that day would mean for our country and the entire world.
Then I grew up and married a firefighter. I understand the willingness to sacrifice. To know your spouse is willing to give up their life if necessary, and agreeing to that with them. The 9/11 stair climb isn’t about daniel, or the other first responders, it’s about the names they wear around their neck. The men and women they climb for. Daniel climbed for Michael Otten, Ladder 35. He was 42, had a wife and three boys, and was a third generation firefighter. The Otten family hosted a summer barbecue for his crew every year, his sons and wife still held it the next summer. I will never forget Michael Otten. Otten family, we mourn with you, and are beyond grateful for Michael’s bravery.

18 years ago today you voted and crowned this 23 year old trolley dolly the winner of Big Brother 2001.
I shall be FOREVER thankful.❤️
Today I helped my baby brother move into his dorm and now I am looking at old photos of us. 🥺 Swipe right to see the note he wrote for me nine years ago when I moved to college myself. I don't remember if he personally handed it to me or if I found it on my desk when I returned home for the weekend. Even though it is a letter haphazardly written on a piece of binder paper, I kept it because my brother was pretty devilish as a kid and this was proof that he could have affectionate feelings. 😲 He's only 45 minutes away now but still feels weird not to have him home. The biggest difference I've noticed is that my WiFi remains fast now since he isn't here to make his PS4 a priority device on our Google WiFi. 😆 Have fun in college, Justin and don't be dumber than you are now. 💕
